Ensuring Automotive Excellence: How Weathering Test Chambers Validate Component Durability
Introduction
Automotive components are continuously exposed to sunlight, temperature fluctuations, and humidity throughout their service life. To ensure long-term reliability, manufacturers rely on environmental aging test chambers, also called weathering test chambers, which compress years of natural exposure into controlled laboratory simulations.
These chambers subject parts to UV radiation, extreme temperatures (-40°C to +150°C), and high humidity (20–98% RH), validating durability against real-world environmental stress.
